Bathroom Remodeling
in Parrish, FL

About 25 min from our Ruskin home base

Gulf Coast Kitchens is a kitchen and bath specialist based in Ruskin, about 25 minutes from Parrish. Owner Dave Braughton handles every Parrish bathroom remodel personally, from the first in-home visit and design plan through installation and the final walkthrough. Every project is custom, so each one is quoted individually after Dave sees the space.

In homes built in the last ten years, the usual list is replacing fiberglass tub and shower inserts with tile, swapping cultured marble vanity tops for quartz, trading builder mirrors and strip lights for framed mirrors and sconces and adding frameless glass in the primary shower.

Questions & Answers

Bathroom Remodeling in Parrish — FAQs

In homes built in the last ten years, the usual list is replacing fiberglass tub and shower inserts with tile, swapping cultured marble vanity tops for quartz, trading builder mirrors and strip lights for framed mirrors and sconces and adding frameless glass in the primary shower.

Yes. Inserts are fastened to the wall framing, so the drywall around them is cut back during removal. The new surround gets cement board, a waterproofing membrane and tile, and you can keep a tub or convert the space to a walk-in shower.

Replacing a builder vanity with a taller, furniture-style cabinet with drawers, adding a quartz top with undermount sinks and, where space allows, a seated makeup counter. Moving from one sink to two is usually possible if a drain line is close by.

Replacing a vanity or toilet in place usually does not. Moving a shower drain, adding a circuit for a fan or heated floor or changing walls generally does, and those permits come from Manatee County Building and Development Services.
